This specimen was lot 654 in Jean Elsen sale 165 (Brussels, June 2026), where it sold for €140 (about US$193 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Philippe IV (1621-1665), AR demi-ducaton, 1636, Anvers. Premier type. D/ B. cuirassé à d., une grande fraise au col. R/ Deux lions ten. une grande couronne au-dessus de l'écu du roi, orné du bijou de la Toison d'or. Craquelures du flan. Beau à Très Beau. (duchy of Brabant, Philip IV, 1621-65, silver half ducaton of 1636, Antwerp mint, first type. Obverse: armored and ruffed bust right; reverse: crowned arms supported by two lions, the jewel of the Golden Fleece below. Planchet cracks, Very Fine.)"

The regular type, issued 1624 and 1631-36 from Antwerp (shown here) and Brussels (with angel face mintmark), is very scarce. The other provinces issued this type, including Artois, Flanders, Tournai and Luxembourg.
