The first specimen was lot 530 in Jean Elsen sale 124 (Brussels, March 2015), where it sold for €800 (about US$998 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Albert et Isabelle (1598-1621), AR florin d'argent, 1600, Anvers. Droit: B. affrontés des archiducs. Revers: Ecu couronné, entouré du collier de la Toison d'or. Très Rare. Petits défauts de flan au droit et griffe au revers. Belle patine. Seulement 3.121 exemplaires frappés du 18 février 1600 au 10 juin 1601. Très Beau à Superbe. (duchy of Brabant, Albert and Isabel (1598-1621), silver florin of 1599, Antwerp mint. Obverse: facing busts of the archduke and archduchess; reverse: crowned arms, order of the Golden Fleece around. Very rare, small planchet defects on the obverse and a scratch on the reverse; nice toning, very fine to extremely fine. Only 3,121 examples struck.)"

The second specimen was lot 1066 in Jean Elsen sale 144 (Brussels, March 2020), where it sold for €320 (about US$422 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"BRABANT, Duché, Albert et Isabelle (1598-1621), AR florin d'argent, 1600, Anvers. D/ B. affrontés des archiducs. R/ Ecu couronné, entouré du collier de la Toison d'or. Très rare. Beau à Très Beau/Très Beau. (duchy of Brabant, Albert and Isabelle, 1598-1621, silver florin of 1600, Antwerp mint. Obverse: facing busts of the archdukes; reverse: crowned arms of Austria-Burgundy, Order of the Golden Fleece around. Very rare, Fine - Very Fine/Very Fine.)"

The SCWC lists this scarce type for 1601. It coincidentally matches the weight of a Spanish silver four reales.

Reported Mintage: 3,121.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.833 fine silver, the first specimen 12,18 g, the second specimen 13,32 g.
