This specimen was lot 22457 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $106. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SPANISH NETHERLANDS. Brabant. 1/2 Ecu, 1563. Antwerp Mint. Philipp II (1555-98). Dark toned. VERY FINE." This type was struck for Philip II of Spain 1562-66, 1571-76, 1580-82, 1586-98 along with 1/20, 1/10, 1/5 and whole écus Philippe.
