This specimen was lot 73751 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Bombay Presidency. Pice, 1791. PCGS PROOF-63 Brown. Minted in England, this Proof issue is rather stunning with chocolate surfaces and simple but sharp details." This type was also issued in 1794 along with half, 1½ and two pice. Gilt proofs (KM 193a) exist.
