This specimen was part of lot 1020 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $630. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bolivia. 5 and 10 Bolivianos, 1952. KM-X#15, 11. Total weight 0.3376 ounce. 1952 Revolution Commemorative. Lot of 2 coins. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated." In 1952, a newly installed regime issued a series of four tokens in gold (3.5 g, 7 g, 14 g and 35 g gold) of which this is the most common. It was theoretically equal to ten bolivianos, which was a copper coin the size of a quarter.
