This copper-nickel fifty centavos struck for Bolivia was rejected as too similar to the ten centavos (KM 180), as a result of which most were melted. The coin is now rather scarce. A larger coin ordered in 1939 (KM 182) was more acceptable.
Recorded mintage: 8,000,000.
Specification: copper-nickel.
Catalog reference: KM 181.
