The first specimen shown was lot 1256 in Aureo y Calicó sale 232 (Barcelona, March 2011), where it sold for 150 euros (about US$247 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Carlos III (1759-1788). 1768. Potosí. JR. 1 real. Columnario. Rayita. Buen ejemplar. Escasa así. MBC+. (Charles III, 1759-88, one real of 1768, Potosi mint, pillar type, scratch on reverse, nice example, choice very fine.)

This type was issued from Potosi 1767-70, whereupon the mint reverted to cob production.

Recorded mintage: 96,000.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.917 fine silver, .099 troy oz ASW.
