Sincona sale 34, lot 4036

This specimen was lot 4036 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$1,899 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Ferdinand I. 1521-1564 Taler 1560. Joachimsthal Ohne Münzmeisterzeichen. Gutes sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand I, 1521-64, thaler of 1560, Joachimsthal mint, without mintmaster. Good very fine.)"

Davenport notes this type for 1558-61.
