This specimen was lot 53708 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "{Bhutan|BHUTAN]]. 1/2 Rupee, ND (1950). Jigme Wangchuck. PCGS MS-62." Despite the paltry mintage, this type does not have a catalog value that would justify the cost of certifying it. Jigme Wangchuck died in 1952 but his portrait appeared on coinage long after his death.
Recorded mintage: 202,000.
Specification: 5.72 g, nickel, 24 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM-26.
