The first specimen was lot 3235 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "BHUTAN: Jigme Wangchuck, 1926-1952, AR ½ rupee, year 8 (1928), small size, actually struck in 1931, small scratch, PCGS graded Unc details." The second specimen was lot 1319 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[2] noted, "BHUTAN: Jigme Wangchuck, 1926-1952, AR ½ rupee, 1928, large planchet, actually struck in 1931, a lovely quality example! PCGS graded MS63."

Recorded mintage: 20,000.

Specification: 5.83 g, 0.917 fine silver, 21.2 mm diameter.
