This specimen was lot 3185 in Sincona Auction 105 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$305 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, 5 Batzen 1811, Bern. Seltener Jahrgang. Fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, five batzen of 1811, Bern mint. Rare date, About Mint State.)"
Forty batzen made a thaler, so five batzen are one-eighth of a thaler. This type was struck 1808, 1810-11, 1818; the 1811 is the key date. The last Bernese coin is a rappen dated 1836.
