Bern 1787 10 kreuzer

Sincona sale 91, lot 3159

This specimen was lot 3159 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$537 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, 10 Kreuzer 1787, Bern. FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, ten kreuzer of 1787, Bern mint. Uncirculated.)"

This type was struck intermittently 1759-90 along with a twenty kreuzer. The ten kreuzer was one-twelfth of a convention thaler but later 1/16 of a thaler.
