This specimen was lot 22763 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bern. Gold Ducat 1741, MS65 NGC. Gleaming luster, with full, sharp definition and no notable flaws." The climbing bear is the badge of Bern, Switzerland. This type, like all Bernese gold coins of the eighteenth century, is rare and expensive.

Specification: 3.5 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW.
