This specimen was lot 4546 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bern, 10 Kreuzer 1669. Fast vorzüglich. (canton of Bern, ten kreuzer of 1669. About extremely fine.)"
In the predecimal system of Switzerland, four kreuzer = one batzen and forty batzen = one thaler, making this type of 1669 equal to one sixteenth of a thaler. Another ten kreuzer exists for 1669 with the denomination on the eagle's breast (KM 26); it is rare.
