This specimen was lot 4554 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 65,000 CHF (about US$77,955 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bern, 8 Dukaten o. J. (um 1710). Von grösster Seltenheit. Vorzüglich. Winz. Randfehler. (canton of Bern, undated eight ducats. Of the highest rarity. Extremely fine. Minor edge nick.)"
This enormous coin is accompanied by four (KM 78), five (KM 72), six (KM 79), seven (KM 80) and ten ducats (KM 81).
