Sincona sale 81, lot 6062

This specimen was lot 6062 in Sincona sale 81 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 26,000 CHF (about US$31,161 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Bern | Stadt und Kanton, Doppeldukat o. J. (um 1659). Berner Wappen auf verzierter Kartusche. Rv. Nimbierter Doppeladler. Äusserst selten. Gutes vorzüglich. Winziger Randfehler. (canton of Bern, undated double ducat, circa 1659. Obverse: Bernese arms in quartered cartouche; reverse: nimbate double headed eagle. Extremely rare, Good extremely fine, Very minor rim nick.)"

This undated issue was accompanied by a single ducat (Fr-123) and a triple ducat (Fr-120). It also comes dated 1658 (Fr-121).
