Bermuda 1978 10 cents

from the Stack's Bowers June 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 73406

This specimen was lot 73406 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $85. The catalog description^[1] noted, "BERMUDA. 10 Cents, 1978. PCGS SPECIMEN-65 Gold Shield. From the third year of issue, this delightful Gem features the Bermuda lily upon the reverse and possesses rather intense brilliance. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck 1970-71, 1978-85 and matches the United States dime in module. A redesigned bust was used 1986-98.
