This coin commemorated the marriage of king Baudouin of Belgium (1930-93) with Fabiola de Mora y Aragón of Spain (1928-2014). It comes in coin and medal alignment, with the medal alignment being rare. Note the avoidance of the use of French or Flemish in the design. Belgium joined the euro in 2002 and all the franc coinage is obsolete.
