This specimen was lot 1871 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $108. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Bavaria. Taler, 1761. Maximilian III, Josef. Very Fine." This type of 1759-63 and 1768 shows the elector's arms on the reverse. Another thaler struck in 1761 (KM 519.1/Dav-1953) shows the Madonna and Child. Both types have the same catalog value.
