This specimen was lot 23970 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Bavaria. Maximilian I Taler 1627/6, AU55 NGC, well-struck with luster remaining in protected areas, very appealing for this overdate variety." This specimen was offered again in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014) and sold for $793.13. This type is listed for 1626-27 along with the similar Dav-6074. The overdate is noted but not awarded a premium. The reverse motto, "CLYPEVS OMNIBVS IN TE SPERANTIBVS", translates as, "The shield of everyone who hope in you".
