This specimen was lot 4065 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$508 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bistum Basel, Johann Konrad II. von Reinach-Hirzbach, 1705-1737. Schilling 1719, Pruntrut. Fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion SINCONA 20, Zürich, Oktober 2014, Los 3306. (Switzerland, bishopric of Basel, John Conrad II of Reinach-Hirzbach, 1705-37, schilling of 1719, About Extremely Fine.)"
The bishop of Basel was driven from his seat when Basel turned Protestant during the Reformation. He resided in Pruntrut and issued coins from there. This type was struck 1716-19, 1722-24, 1727. We're not sure of the face value of this coin; in Zürich, one thaler was 72 schilling.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.18 g, billon, 22 mm diameter, this specimen 1.18 g.
