This specimen was lot 29869 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,821.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Baroda. Sayaji Rao III gold 1/6 Mohur VS1959 (1902) MS65 NGC, Baroda mint. Small in stature but striking in appearance, this handsome specimen displays aged, golden surfaces that are clear of any discernible imperfections, save for a few charming die breaks. The devices are fully-rendered and the intricate detail upon the bust is sharp, despite being struck with rusty dies. Currently the finest-known certified example of this date, scar[c]e as such." The SCWC also lists a one-third and a one mohur, both rare.
