This specimen was lot 569 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $570. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAHAWALPUR: Sadiq Muhammad Khan V, 1907-1947, AR medallic rupee, Bahawalpur, AH1343, prepared for the Nawab by Spink & Son, NGC graded MS61." The state of Bahawalpur lies in the southwest part of Punjab, in the Thar desert. Altho the nawab voluntarily entered the state of Pakistan in 1947-48, his state was abolished in 1955. This silver type, tho shown a Y number, is now in the Unusual World Coins.
