This specimen was lot 50432 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $266. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Baden. 5 Mark, 1906. NGC MS-63. Golden Wedding Anniversary." This type, issued 1906 only, is fairly common. This design was also sued on a two mark of 1906.
Recorded mintage: 60,000 plus a few proofs.
Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
