This specimen was lot 6428 in Künker sale 354 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,500 (about US$2,088 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"REICHSGOLDMÜNZEN, BADEN, Friedrich I. 1852-1907. 20 Mark 1874. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich. (Germany, grand duchy of Baden, Frederick I, 1852-1907, twenty mark of 1874, very scarce in this quality, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1874 only before being replaced in 1875 with a design with a modified reverse. Several German states issued gold five mark in 1877 but the denomination was abandoned in favor of a silver five mark, gold being restricted to ten and twenty mark pieces. This date is fairly rare.
