Baden 1846 2 gulden Dav-527
The first specimen was lot 1229 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Doppelgulden 1846. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Grand duchy of Baden-Durlach, double gulden of 1846, very fine to extremely fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 1870 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $102. The catalog description[2] noted, "German States: Baden. 2 Gulden, 1846. Leopold I. NGC graded Extremely Fine Detail (Cleaned)." This type of 1846-52 has decent mintages and is reasonably priced up thru extremely fine. The grand duchy issued coins until 1918.
