This specimen was lot 40118 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $3,172. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Baden. Ducat, 1840. NGC MS-62." The SCWC divides the Badener ducats of 1832-42 into two types (KM 201 and KM 208) but Friedberg lumps them together. All dates are rare.
