This specimen was lot 30051 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $4,259.38. The catalog description[1] noted, "Very Low Mintage Baden. Leopold Rhine-gold Ducat 1841, MS64 NGC. Obv. Head of Leopold right. Rev. Crowned arms in wreath. Full mint brilliance, with bold definition. With a small mintage of only 2,145 pieces, this example is a prize in such Choice condition. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." The SCWC divides the Badenish ducats of 1832-42 into two types (KM 201 and KM 208) but Friedberg lumps them together. All dates are rare.
