Austria 1946 schilling

This type was struck in Vienna for Austria 1946-52 and 1957. It was demonteized in 1961. Austria was under Allied occupation immediately after World War Two but the Soviets evacuated their zone in 1955 and the republic was refounded in its 1938 borders.

Recorded mintage: 35 838 000 plus proofs.

Specification: 2 g, aluminum, plain edge, 25 mm diameter.
