This specimen was lot 31194 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $1,980. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 100 Schillings, 1928. Vienna Mint. PCGS PROOFLIKE-63. Bright and flashy with brilliant reflective fields, this nicely preserved early 20th century gold issue exhibits sharply struck frosty devices and prooflike mirrored fields. An attractive issue that is free of tone, haze or fog." This type was struck in limited numbers 1926-34 prior to the anschluss with Nazi Germany.

Recorded mintage: 40,188.

Specification: 23.52 g, 0.900 fine gold, 33 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Arnold Hartig.
