This specimen was lot 1554 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA: Franz Joseph I, 1848-1916, 2 corona, 1912, pattern struck in aluminum, faint surface hairlines, Unc, RR." This example is actually dated 1913. The regular issue, struck in silver, is common.

Specification: aluminum; the regular issue was 10 g, 0.835 fine silver.
