This specimen was lot 45337 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Kreuzer, 1860-E. Karlsburg (Alba Iulia) Mint in Transylvania. Franz Joseph I. NGC MS-63." This type was struck 1858-63, 1873, 1878-81 in large quantities at Vienna (mintmark "A"), Kremnitz ("B"), Karlsburg (shown here), Milan ("M") and Venice ("V"). One florin was 100 kreuzer. It was made obsolete in 1892 by the introduction of the corona and heller in 1892.
