Künker sale 406, lot 3864

This specimen was lot 3864 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$3,936 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Franz I. 1745-1765. Dukat 1752, CA, Karlsburg. GOLD. Vorzüglich/Stempelglanz. (Holy Roman Empire, Francis I, 1745-65, ducat of 1752, Karlsburg mint. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type was produced 1745-65 from Vienna, Hall, Prague, Karlsburg, Graz and Nagybanya and is common. The SCWC does not price any date as rare. The Karlsburg mint was in Transylvania.
