Austria 1734 thaler Dav-1053
This specimen was lot 3162 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €290 (about US$411 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Karl VI., 1711-1740. Reichstaler 1734, Hall. Min. Randfehler, winz. Kratzer, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Charles VI, 1711-40, thaler of 1734, Hall mint. Minor edge nick, hairlines, very fine to extremely fine.)"
Austrian thalers for 1734 include KM 1579.2/Dav-1037 (Vienna mint), KM 1594/Dav-1053 (shown here), KM 1617/Dav-1054 (Hall mint) and KM 1639.1/Dav-1055 (Hall mint). This type was struck 1719-25, 1730 and 1734 and is fairly common.
