This specimen was lot 20149 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $822.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Taler, 1657-HCK. Ferdinand III (1637-57). PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder. VERY SCARCE type. Good strike with appealing gunmetal toning, an attractive example sure to attract attention." This type was struck at Graz 1657 only and is very scarce altho this specimen did not realize the catalog value.
