This specimen was lot 1798 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,118 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Ferdinand III. 1637-1657 Doppeldukat 1652. Wien. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand III, 1637-57, double ducat of 1652, Vienna mint. Rare. About extremely fine.)"
This rare double ducat is noted for 1641-57. It was accompanied by a single ducat (KM 950) struck 1647-48, 1651-57, which is scarce.
