This specimen was lot 3843 in Goldberg sale 67 (Los Angeles, January 2012), where it sold for $2,530. The catalog description[1] noted, "Austria. Taler, 1646 (Graz). Ferdinand III, 1637-1657. Laureate head right. Reverse: Crowned arms in Order chain. Struck on roller die. Sharply struck with reflective fields. NGC graded MS-64." The SCWC lists this thaler for 1644, 1646 and 1650. It is mentioned as a better type but not rare.
Recorded mintage: unknown but reasonably common.
