Sincona sale 63, lot 1509

This specimen was lot 1509 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,253 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Matthias, (1608-)1612-1619. Taler 1611, Wien. Attraktives sehr schön. Hübsche Patina. (Holy Roman Empire, Matthias I, 1612-19, thaler of 1611, Vienna mint. Attractive very fine, Attractively toned.)"

It was issued 1610-11 just before Matthias was crowned emperor. It is very similar to Dav-3040 but with a slightly different escutcheon on the reverse.
