This specimen was lot 1933 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,741 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Erzherzog Karl, 1564-1590. Dukat 1581, Klagenfurt. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Charles, 1564-90, ducat of 1581, Klagenfurt mint. Rare in this condition. NGC MS62, Finest certified by NGC.)"
This type was struck 1565-70, 1572-90.
