Sincona sale 97, lot 1932

This specimen was lot 1932 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 2,000 CHF (about US$2,901 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Erzherzog Karl, 1564-1590. Dukat 1579, Klagenfurt. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar / Finest certified by NGC. (Holy Roman Empire, archduke Charles, 1564-90, ducatof 1579, Klagenfurt mint. Rare in this condition. NGC MS65, Cabinet piece.)"

This type was struck 1565-70, 1572-90.
