This specimen was lot 1936 in Goldberg sale 110 (Los Angeles, June 2019), where it sold for $1,936. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia. Platinum 200 Dollars, 2002. Elizabeth II. Reverse: Koala on a gum tree. Gem Brilliant Proof." This design was issued in many other denominations. Since 1989, Australia has entered the bullion and collectibles market in a big way, having produced commemoratives and NCLT's numbering in the hundreds of types.
