This specimen was part of lot 33548 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $1,560. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia: Elizabeth II 5-Piece Uncertified platinum Koala Set 1989, includes 5, 15, 25, 50, and 100 Dollars, KM 122-126. All are Proof UNC and are housed in original and attractive wooden case. Total APW 1.900 oz." Other 25 dollar coins issued in 1989 featured the koala in gold, the red kangaroo in gold and the Welcome Stranger nugget in gold.
