This specimen was lot 1901 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $211.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA: Elizabeth II, 1952—, penny, 1963(p). PCGS graded MS65 RD." The type was issued 1955-64 from Melbourne and Perth. The dot after the word "PENNY" marks this as a Perth product. This specimen realized thirty times the catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 10,258,000 plus 1,100 proofs.
