This specimen was part of lot 32469 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "Elizabeth II Proof Certified 1/2 Penny & Penny 1962, ...Penny, PR66 Red NGC. Each coin with a mintage of 1,064 pieces in Proof. Sold as is, no return lot." The type was issued 1955-64 from Melbourne and Perth. The dot after the word "PENNY" marks this as a Perth product. Perth was the sole producer of pence and halfpence 1960-63.
