This specimen was lot 22019 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $998.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. Shilling, 1914. PCGS MS-64. Good strike with light attractive toning and attractive luster." The type was struck 1911-36 at London (this specimen), Melbourne and Heaton. This date is common up thru Extremely Fine.
Recorded mintage: 3,300,000.
Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz ASW, 23.5 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by E. B MacKennal and W. H. J. Blakemore.
