Argentina 1971 50 centavos rev DSLR.jpg

This type, struck 1970-76, features a revival of Oudiné's capped bust of Liberty first used in 1881. Varieties exist in the spacing of the reeding. All dates are common. Raging inflation, a problem which still afflicts Argentina, made its circulating life brief.

Recorded mintage: 34,947,000.

Specification: 4.35 g, aluminum bronze, 21 mm diameter, reeded edge.

Catalog reference: KM 68.
