This specimen was lot 23013 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $21,150. The catalog description[1] noted, "La Rioja gold 8 Escudos 1832 RA-P, MS63 NGC, superbly struck with a full sunface and glowing mint brilliance, just a few tiny marks in the exposed fields. Rare grade for this popular type, one of the classic issues of the early Latin American Republics." The SCWC catalogues this under Argentina, not La Rioja. It was struck 1826-35 and is expensive.
