CNG Lissner collection, lot 1141

This specimen was lot 1141 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $484. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARGENTINA, Provincias del Rio de la Plata. 1813-1837. AR 4 Soles. Potosí mint. Dated 1832 P RA. Coin alignment. In NGC encapsulation graded XF 45. Superb type coin. Very nice type coin and very scarce as only four have ever been graded. Purchased from M. Louis Teller. Ex Hess-Divo 273 (25 March 1998), lot 930." The SCWC lists this type for 1838 and 1832. It comes in medal and coin die alignment and is rather scarce.
