Künker Auction 425, lot 2030

This specimen was lot 2030 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €850 (about US$1,204 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · ANHALT-BERNBURG, FÜRSTENTUM Friedrich Albrecht, 1765-1796. Konv.-Taler 1794, Silberhütte. Min. justiert, winz. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, principality of Anhalt-Bernburg, Frederick Albert, 1765-96, convention thaler of 1794, Silberhütte mint. Minor adjustment marks and planchet flaws, very fine to extremely fine.)"

Altho this is probably the commonest thaler of eighteenth century Anhalt, it is still expensive. It was struck 1793-94.

Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 27,62 g.
