This specimen was lot 24763 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $2,232.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym. Karl Ludwig Convention Taler 1774-B(F)N/S, MS63 NGC. An absolutely flashy piece with beautiful imagery featuring the sun setting above a mining camp with hills behind. Superb, silvery patination with subtle, golden hues that truly mimic the setting sun. A rare, one-year type from this even scarcer, short-lived principality." The SCWC notes that this subdivision of Anhalt was erected in 1707 but fell extinct in 1812.
